Little Women (Ascend Classics): Open Dyslexic Font Edition

This special edition of Little Women contains both Part 1(1868) and Part 2 ("Good Wives"–1869).

Written by Louisa May Alcott, Little Women is a coming of age classic novel that follows the lives of the four March sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy—as they grow from children living in Massachusetts while their father is away serving as a chaplain during the American Civil War, into women.

This Dyslexic Friendly Edition uses a special 12pt font typeface called OpenDyslexic, which has been developed to address some of the common issues that dyslexics have when reading a typical typeface. Letters are designed with heavy weighted bottoms to indicate direction, which aids in recognizing the correct letter orientation. Even people that do not suffer from dyslexia find Open Dyslexic Font Books easier to read, thanks, in part, to the wider letter spacing the typeface offers. While this is a helpful tool, this is not a cure for dyslexia.
