Approved ESA/EFA Vendor
Dandelion Roots is an approved vendor for Education Savings Account (ESA) and Education Freedom Account (EFA) programs. Families can use their education funding accounts to purchase eligible items from our catalog. Select your state below to view approved categories, spending rules, and payment methods.
Eligible Categories
Arkansas opened EFA eligibility to every K-12 student under the LEARNS Act — and Dandelion Roots is proud to be an approved vendor. All purchases run through ClassWallet, so spending stays simple and compliant.
One thing to know: Arkansas caps extracurricular and co-curricular spending at 25% of your annual allocation. That includes PE supplies, art materials, and music — so plan accordingly if those are a big part of your homeschool.
What your EFA funds cover at Dandelion Roots:
- Core curriculum, textbooks, workbooks, and supplemental learning materials
- Notebooks, writing supplies, copy paper, and calculators
- Laptops, tablets, printers, and school-use tech
- Educational software, learning apps, and assistive technology
- Art, music, PE, and CTE supplies — up to the 25% extracurricular cap
- Required uniforms explicitly mandated by an approved private school
What Arkansas EFA funds don't cover:
- Competitive/tryout sports gear (rec and PE supplies are fine within the cap)
- Everyday clothing, fashion backpacks, or non-uniform shoes
- Game consoles, TVs, VR headsets, or streaming services
- Home goods, food, or cleaning supplies
- Gift cards or mixed bundles with non-educational items
Spending Rules
Important: It's your responsibility to confirm items meet Arkansas Department of Education guidelines before ordering. If ClassWallet rejects an item, you'll either need to pay out of pocket or cancel the order.
